Im able to open the Icloud install file (modified file downloaded from dropbox) and accept the terms but it skips the install process and jumps to the end giving me an error that the installation DID NOT finish and no changes have been made to my computer. huh? any idea why it wont install on xp?

Pure genius - thanks a lot!
The one thing I hate about Apple is their dogged determination to dictate to their customers what they can & cannot do. In essence, I agree with your comments regards 'Why doesn’t Apple support Windows XP?` but in general terms, I wish they would just try to remember that we are the customer and 'the customer is always right', not the other way around!

Still nothing on how to get photostream workin on the hacked XP icloud control panel? It's the most common reason for installing icloud, and appears to be the most common question for XP users. Anyone??

This did the trick. When I originally opened the MSI it was set to 200 so that wasn't the issue. This link was perfect. Thanks

There are basically two procedures - one, the "Hack" syncs your contacts, reminders, calenders and me.com email - most of your iCloud except photos and documents. This procedure needs to install files, which you can download from Josh's drop box (see above comments, no 6.) or you can modify the files yourself as described in my post. If I get time, I may add the modified iCloud files to my post so you don't need to do anything but install it (as you can do with Josh's files - I can't vouch for them, but from other comments it seems they are working fine).

The other one is just setting up your me.com email in Outlook - like any other email account (IMAP). This is easy as you are just adding a new email account to your outlook, not hacking anything. But you don't get your Calender or contacts.

So you just decide what you want / need to sync and follow that one.

I can't guarantee it but it should work. Best to try the hack and see - please report back any success or failure.
